BPS90-12 is a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery from the B.B. Battery BPS series with a rated voltage of 12 V, a nominal capacity of 90 Ah at the 20 hour rate, 85.5 Ah at the 10 hour rate and 76.5 Ah at the 5 hour rate, and a weight of 30.8 kg. Absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination keeps the battery maintenance free with no water addition required, gives it no free acid (leak-proof battery) and a low self-discharge rate, and allows use in any orientation (inverted position not allowed). An explosion-proof filter fitted adds protection, and the battery offers up to 10 years of float service life. Its standard terminal type is B3 and the optional terminal type is I2. It serves uninterruptible power supply, security systems, emergency lighting and video surveillance systems, access control systems, medical equipment, communication facilities, alternative energy, power supply networks and the energy industry, street lighting and traffic signals, and data processing centers.
