B.B. Battery VRLA BPS90-12 battery is a 12V integrated lead-acid battery using valve-regulated sealed lead-acid (VRLA) technology, belonging to the BPS90-12 series. The series covers capacities from 5 to 230 Ah, meeting different energy storage needs. The nominal capacity of the BPS90-12 model is 90 Ah (based on 20-hour rate discharge to 1.75V/cell), with 10-hour rate and 5-hour rate capacities of 85.5 Ah and 76.5 Ah respectively, demonstrating reliable performance at various discharge rates. The battery case is made of sturdy, impact-resistant ABS plastic for excellent physical protection. The battery cover is firmly connected to the case, and the terminal area is sealed to ensure safe use.This model offers two terminal options: B3 and I2. The B3 terminal is standardly equipped with an M6 bolt and nut, with an initial torque requirement of 5.5Nm ±5%, facilitating reliable connection.
In terms of internal structure, the battery adopts advanced Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) technology, achieving efficient gas recombination, ensuring no water replenishment is needed throughout its entire service life, and truly being maintenance-free. Both positive and negative plates are coated with paste-like active materials, combined with AGM separators, providing stable electrochemical performance. The six liquid filling holes on the battery cover are used for filling electrolyte during production, and then a pressure relief valve made of non-combustible materials is installed.This pressure relief valve effectively prevents internal pressure buildup, ensuring high-level fire and explosion safety, while enabling the battery to meet the standards of no free acid and leak-proof. Thanks to its sealed design and AGM technology, the battery supports horizontal and vertical installation (inversion is prohibited), providing great layout flexibility for equipment integration.
The BPS90-12 battery has excellent electrical performance parameters. Its internal resistance is as low as 5 milliohms (at full charge), supporting a maximum discharge current of 800 amps for 5 seconds and a maximum charging current of 27 amps.Wide working temperature range, 0°C to 40°C (32°F to 104°F) when charging, -20°C to 50°C (-4°F to 122°F) when discharging, and storage temperature range of -20°C to 40°C (-4°F to 104°F). The battery has a self-discharge rate below 3% per month and can still maintain sufficient charge after long-term storage. Its discharge characteristics are well-documented; for example, at a cut-off voltage of 1.75V, it can provide a 30-minute discharge power of approximately 1186 watts, which is very suitable for applications requiring backup time of 30 minutes or more.
