B.B. Battery BPS40-12 is a 12 V valve-regulated lead-acid battery from the BPS general purpose series. Its nominal capacity is 40 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 38 Ah at the 10-hour rate, and 34 Ah at the 5-hour rate, and it weighs 14.3 kg. The B2 standard terminal type is fitted, with I1 and I2 available as optional terminal types. The product uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination, is maintenance free (no water addition required), and has no free acid (leak-proof battery). Its low self-discharge rate helps it hold charge, it can be used in any orientation (inverted position not allowed), and an explosion-proof filter is fitted. Up to 10 years of float service life supports long-term standby duty.
