Choosing Among BB Battery's 19 Lead-Acid Battery Series
BB Battery lists 19 lead-acid battery series in total. Comparing every model from the outset quickly turns into circling through a model table. A more effective method is to confirm the duty first, narrow the range to two or three series, and only then check capacity, dimensions and terminal form. General purpose and long-life standby directions: BP is the general purpose series, BPL is general purpose long life, and BPX and BPS also belong to the general purpose direction. MPL covers the long-life standby direction and MSU the telecom-grade standby direction. FTB is the front terminal direction, suited to installations with requirements on space and maintenance access. Where the duty leans toward short high-current output or frequent charge and discharge cycling, start with this group; where the duty is mainly long-term float standby, return to the long-life standby series above. Uninterruptible power supplies, power supply networks and the energy industry, grid and electric power applications, and road lighting and traffic signals all fall in the range where the discharge duty has to be settled before a series is chosen.
Electric and mobile directions: EB is the electric series, EP is portable power, and EVP is the electric vehicle series. E-bikes and scooters, electric vehicles, wheelchairs, golf carts, mowers, lawn trimmers and floor cleaning equipment all belong to this direction. When purchasing, first establish whether the equipment carries people, carries goods or is used for cleaning, and then narrow the choice between EB, EP and EVP.
Gel directions: Zelus-GFT is gel narrow, Zelus-GBS is gel solar, Zelus-GB is gel general purpose, and Zelus-GBC is gel deep cycle. Alternative energy and solar-related duties correspond to Zelus-GBS; where a narrow form factor is needed, Zelus-GFT applies; general purpose and deep cycle duties correspond to Zelus-GB and Zelus-GBC respectively.
