BPS160-12 is a 12 V maintenance-free valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery from the B.B. Battery BPS general purpose series. Its nominal capacity is 160 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 152 Ah at the 10-hour rate and 136 Ah at the 5-hour rate, and it weighs 51.2 kg. The standard terminal type is B9, and I3 is available as an optional terminal type. Absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination keeps the battery maintenance free (no water addition required), while the no free acid (leak-proof battery) design holds the electrolyte inside the case. The battery offers a low self-discharge rate and can be used in any orientation (inverted position not allowed); an explosion-proof filter is fitted, and the battery delivers up to 10 years of float service life.
