BPS20-12 is a 12 V valve-regulated lead-acid battery from the B.B. Battery BPS series. Its nominal capacity is 20 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 19 Ah at the 10-hour rate and 17 Ah at the 5-hour rate, and its weight is 6.35 kg. Its standard terminal type is B1 and its optional terminal types are T2 and I1. The battery uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination and is maintenance free (no water addition required), so no water ever has to be added. It is a no free acid (leak-proof battery) design with a low self-discharge rate, and it can be used in any orientation (inverted position not allowed). An explosion-proof filter fitted raises safety, and the battery offers up to 10 years of float service life.
