Product details

HR9-12 belongs to the HR series of high-rate valve regulated sealed lead-acid batteries. The model is built as a 12 V monobloc with a rated power of 36 W/cell at the 15-minute rate, a nominal capacity of 8 Ah at the 10-hour rate and a weight of 2.75 kg, so it combines a small physical size with the ability to deliver power quickly when the load demands it. The battery case is made of opaque, impact-resistant ABS plastic, the cover is firmly joined to the case, and the terminal area is sealed against leakage and contamination. The standard terminal type is T2, and B0 or B1 terminals can be selected to match particular wiring needs, which keeps the same battery usable across several equipment designs. The sealed terminal area also limits the chance that acid reaches the surrounding wiring, which helps keep the inside of the host equipment clean over the years. Inside, both the positive and the negative plates use a paste-coated process, combined with absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination. This keeps the battery maintenance free (no water replenishment required) and removes the risk of free acid leakage, so it is a no free acid (leak-proof battery) design. The product is optimized for high-rate discharge applications, and power density at the 5-15 minute discharge rate is 30% higher than the BP series. A flame arrestor is fitted, raising the safety level in service. Installation is flexible: the battery can be mounted horizontally or vertically, but must not be installed inverted. HR9-12 is suited to electric bicycles and scooters, golf carts, telecommunications facilities, alternative energy systems, power supply networks and the energy industry, street lighting and traffic signals, electric vehicles, data centers, wheelchairs and floor cleaning equipment, wherever high-rate discharge support is needed.
