The B.B. Battery HR50-12 is a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery from the HR high rate series. Its nominal voltage is 12 V, its nominal capacity is 48 Ah at the 10-hour rate, and its rated power is 200 W per cell at the 15-minute rate, with a weight of 15.3 kg. Absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination supports the sealed design, and the battery is maintenance free (no water replenishment required) with a no free acid (leak-proof battery) construction. It is designed to support high-rate discharge, and power density at the 5-15 minute discharge rate is 30% higher than the BP series. A flame arrestor fitted for safety adds protection, and the battery can be installed in multiple orientations (do not install inverted). The standard terminal type is B2, and I1 and I2 are available as optional terminal types. Applications include electric bicycles and scooters, golf carts, telecommunications facilities, alternative energy systems, power supply networks and the energy industry, street lighting and traffic signals, electric vehicles, data centers, wheelchairs, and floor cleaning equipment.
