B.B. Battery HR4-12 belongs to the HR high rate series and is a 12 V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid (VRLA) battery. Its nominal capacity is 3.5 Ah at the 10-hour rate and its rated power is 16 W/cell at the 15-minute rate, so it is built for duties that call for a large current over a short period. The battery weighs 1.4 kg, uses the T1 standard terminal type, and offers T2 as an optional terminal type so that the connection can be matched to the equipment. The battery uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination, which keeps the internal oxygen cycle efficient, and it is maintenance free (no water replenishment required) with no free acid (leak-proof battery), so the electrolyte needs no attention and cannot escape from the case. The product is designed to support high-rate discharge and can be installed in any orientation (do not install inverted), which gives freedom when the space inside an enclosure is limited. A flame arrestor fitted for safety adds protection during operation. Its power density at the 5-15 minute discharge rate is 30% higher than the BP series, which makes the model a strong choice where brief and intense output matters more than a long and gentle discharge.
