The B.B. Battery HR40-12FingerType belongs to the HR series of high-rate valve-regulated lead-acid batteries and uses a Finger Type terminal design. Its rated voltage is 12 V, its nominal capacity at the 10 hour rate is 38 Ah, its rated power at the 15 minute rate is 160 W/cell, and it weighs 12.1 kg. The standard terminal type is B7 and the optional terminal types are I2. The high-rate design means the battery is built to release its energy quickly rather than slowly. The battery is maintenance free (no water replenishment required). It is classed as no free acid (leak-proof battery) and is designed to support high-rate discharge, which suits equipment that demands short bursts of high current. It can be installed in multiple orientations (do not install inverted). The product uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination, and a flame arrestor fitted for safety adds protection.
