The HR15-12 is a valve-regulated lead-acid battery from the B.B. Battery HR series. Its nominal voltage is 12 V and its rated power is 60 W/cell at the 15-minute rate. The battery weighs 4.2 kg, uses a standard T2 terminal type and offers an optional T1 terminal type. Absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination ensures efficient gas recombination, and the battery is maintenance free (no water replenishment required) with no free acid (leak-proof battery). It is designed to support high-rate discharge and can be installed in multiple orientations (do not install inverted), and a flame arrestor fitted for safety adds protection. Power density at the 5-15 minute discharge rate is 30% higher than the BP series. Applications include electric bicycles and scooters, golf carts, telecommunications facilities, alternative energy systems, power supply networks and the energy industry, street lighting and traffic signals, electric vehicles, data centers, wheelchairs and floor cleaning equipment.
