The HR40-12HandleType is a 12 V model from the B.B. Battery HR high rate series of valve-regulated lead-acid batteries. Its nominal capacity is 38 Ah at the 10-hour rate, its rated power is 160 W per cell at the 15-minute rate, and it weighs 160 kg. The standard terminal type is B7, and I2 is available as an optional terminal type. Absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination supports the sealed design, and the battery is maintenance free (no water replenishment required) with no free acid (leak-proof battery). It is designed to support high-rate discharge, and power density at the 5-15 minute discharge rate is 30% higher than the BP series. A flame arrestor fitted for safety adds protection. It can be installed in multiple orientations (do not install inverted).
