The BPL28-12 belongs to the BPL series, with a rated voltage of 12 V, a nominal capacity of 28 Ah at the 20 hour rate, 23.8 Ah at the 5 hour rate and 14 Ah at the 30 minute rate, and a weight of 9.7 kg. Its standard terminal type is B1, while T2 I1 is available as an option. This battery is maintenance free (no water addition required) and contains no free acid (leak-proof battery), so there is no need to check electrolyte levels or top up with water during service. It also has a low self-discharge rate, which helps it hold its charge through long periods in storage. It can be used in any orientation (inverted position not allowed), giving designers freedom in how the battery is placed inside equipment.
