Battery BPL80-12 is a 12 V valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery with a nominal capacity of 80 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 68 Ah at the 5-hour rate and 40 Ah at the 30-minute rate, a weight of 26.8 kg and a standard terminal type of I2. It uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination, is maintenance free (no water addition required), contains no free acid (leak-proof battery), has a low self-discharge rate and can be installed in any orientation (inverted position not allowed). An explosion-proof filter and a flame arrestor are fitted.
