BPL33-12 Standard Type is a 12V valve-regulated lead-acid battery in the B.B. Battery BPL general purpose long life series. Its nominal capacity is 33Ah at the 20 hour rate, 28.05Ah at the 5 hour rate and 16.5Ah at the 30 minute rate, the weight is 11.5kg and the standard terminal type is B7. The battery is maintenance free (no water addition required) and is a no free acid (leak-proof battery) design, so no electrolyte has to be topped up and no liquid can escape from the sealed case. It uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination and has a low self-discharge rate, which helps the battery hold its charge during storage. It can be used in any orientation (inverted position not allowed). An explosion-proof filter fitted and a flame arrestor fitted for safety add protection in the event of an internal fault. Typical applications include uninterruptible power supply, security systems, emergency lighting and video surveillance systems, access control systems, medical equipment, communication facilities, alternative energy, power grids and the power industry, street lighting and traffic signals and data processing centers.
