The BPL12-12 is a 12 V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid (VRLA) battery from the B.B. Battery BPL series, with a nominal capacity of 12 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 10.2 Ah at the 5-hour rate and 6 Ah at the 30-minute rate. It weighs 3.98 kg, with T2 as the standard terminal type and T1 available as an optional terminal type. The battery uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination. It is maintenance free with no water addition required, has no free acid and is a leak-proof battery, and it has a low self-discharge rate. It can be used in any orientation (inverted position not allowed), and it comes with an explosion-proof filter fitted and a flame arrestor fitted for safety.
