BPL110-12 is a 12 V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid (VRLA) maintenance-free battery in the B.B. Battery BPL series, with a nominal capacity of 110 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 93.5 Ah at the 5-hour rate, and 55 Ah at the 30-minute rate. It weighs 40 kg. The standard terminal type is B4, and the optional terminal type is I2. The battery uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination, and it features a low self-discharge rate and no free acid (leak-proof battery), and it is maintenance free (no water addition required), so no topping up is needed during service. It can be used in any orientation (inverted position not allowed), and it comes with an explosion-proof filter fitted plus a flame arrestor fitted for safety. It is suitable for uninterruptible power supply, security systems, emergency lighting and video surveillance systems, access control systems, medical equipment, communication facilities, alternative energy, power grids and the power industry, street lighting and traffic signals, and data processing centers.
