BP90-12 is a 12V model in the B.B. Battery BP general purpose series of VRLA batteries. Its nominal capacity is 90Ah at the 20 hour rate, 85.5Ah at the 10 hour rate and 76.5Ah at the 5 hour rate, and it weighs 30.8kg. B3 is the standard terminal type, with I2 available as an optional terminal type. The battery uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination, and there is no free electrolyte, so the design is leak-proof and maintenance free (no topping up required). Its low self-discharge, less than 3% per month, means charge is retained between uses, and it supports vertical and horizontal installation. A flame arrestor is integrated in each cell, and carrying handles for easier installation are provided.
