The BP28-12 is a 12V lead-acid battery from the B.B. Battery BP series. Its nominal capacity is 28Ah at the 20-hour rate, 26.6Ah at the 10-hour rate and 23.8Ah at the 5-hour rate, and the three figures show how the battery performs under longer and shorter discharges. The battery weighs 9.6kg, its standard terminal type is B1 and optional T2 I1 terminal types are available. It is maintenance free (no topping up required), leak-proof (no free electrolyte), and has low self-discharge, less than 3% per month. It supports vertical and horizontal installation, a flame arrestor is integrated in each cell, a built-in flame arrestor for added safety is provided, and carrying handles for easier installation are included.
