The BP200-12 belongs to the B.B. Battery BP series of VRLA batteries. The series is produced in 4-volt, 6-volt or 12-volt monobloc form, with capacities ranging from 1.0 Ah to 230 Ah. The battery case is made of opaque, impact-resistant ABS plastic, the lid is firmly joined to the case, and the terminal area is well sealed. The battery is filled with electrolyte through six openings in the lid, after which a pressure relief valve made of non-flammable material is fitted, making the battery maintenance free, removing the need for regular watering, and ensuring fire and explosion safety with complete leak protection and no risk of free electrolyte escaping. Both the positive and negative plates are coated with a specially formulated paste, which together with low self-discharge of less than 3% per month effectively extends the battery's shelf life.
The BP200-12 provides a standard voltage of 12 V, with nominal capacities of 200 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 190 Ah at the 10-hour rate and 170 Ah at the 5-hour rate, making it suitable for backup times of 30 minutes or longer.
