B.B. Battery BP7-2-12 is a 12V maintenance-free lead-acid battery in the BP general purpose series. Its nominal capacity is 7.2Ah at the 20 hour rate, 6.84Ah at the 10 hour rate and 6.12Ah at the 5 hour rate, and the battery weighs 2.35kg. T2 is the standard terminal type and T1 is available as an optional terminal type. The design is maintenance free (no topping up required) and leak-proof (no free electrolyte), so no liquid can escape from the sealed case and no routine topping up is needed. Low self-discharge, less than 3% per month, helps the battery hold its charge during storage, and it supports vertical and horizontal installation for flexible fitting inside compact equipment. A flame arrestor integrated in each cell and a built-in flame arrestor for added safety protect the battery if an internal fault occurs, while carrying handles for easier installation simplify positioning the unit.
