The BP4-5-6 battery is a product in the BP series of VRLA lead-acid batteries from B.B. Battery. Batteries in this series are produced in monobloc form and cover several voltage levels including 4 V, 6 V and 12 V, with capacities ranging from 1.0 Ah to 230 Ah. This battery uses an impact-resistant ABS plastic case, the lid and case are firmly joined, and the terminal area is specially sealed to prevent leakage. Terminal designs differ by battery series and type: the standard T1 terminal type is provided on the top of the battery, and the optional T2 terminal type is also supported.
During production, the electrolyte is filled through six dedicated ports in the lid, after which a pressure relief valve made of non-flammable material is fitted. This ensures a high level of fire and explosion safety and also delivers the maintenance free (no topping up required) character, so users need not add electrolyte. Inside, both the positive and negative plates carry a special paste coating that improves performance and stability.
