BP3-12 is a product in the B.B. Battery BP general purpose series, which is offered in 4-volt, 6-volt and 12-volt monobloc designs and covers capacities from 1.0Ah to 230Ah. The battery uses a sturdy, impact-resistant ABS plastic case, the lid is joined tightly to the shell and the terminal area is fully sealed to prevent leakage. The terminal design depends on the model: BP3-12 provides T1 as its standard terminal type and offers T2 as an option, so the installation position stays flexible. The six filling holes in the lid are used to fill the electrolyte during production, after which a pressure relief valve made of non-flammable material is fitted, which greatly improves the fire and explosion safety of the battery.
Inside the battery, the positive and negative plates both carry a special paste coating, and combined with valve-regulated sealed lead-acid (VRLA) technology this gives the model its maintenance-free character.
