B.B. Battery BP17-12 is a 12V valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery from the BP general purpose series. Its nominal capacity is 17Ah at the 20 hour rate, 16.15Ah at the 10 hour rate and 14.45Ah at the 5 hour rate, and the battery weighs 6.15kg. The standard terminal type is B1, while T2 and I1 are offered as optional terminal types. The battery is maintenance free (no topping up required) and leak-proof (no free electrolyte), with low self-discharge, less than 3% per month. It supports vertical and horizontal installation. A flame arrestor is integrated in each cell, a built-in flame arrestor provides added safety, and carrying handles for easier installation are included.
