The BP160-12 is a VRLA battery from the B.B. Battery BP general purpose series. It has a nominal voltage of 12 V, a nominal capacity of 160 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 152 Ah at the 10-hour rate, and 136 Ah at the 5-hour rate, and it weighs 51.2 kg. The standard terminal type is B9, and I3 is available as an optional terminal type. The battery is maintenance free (no topping up required) and leak-proof (no free electrolyte). Its low self-discharge, less than 3% per month, helps it hold capacity in storage. It supports vertical and horizontal installation, integrates a flame arrestor in each cell, and comes with carrying handles for easier installation, while a built-in flame arrestor for added safety reinforces protection.
