The BP120-12 is a 12 V valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) battery from the B.B. Battery BP general purpose series. Nominal capacity is 120 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 114 Ah at the 10-hour rate and 102 Ah at the 5-hour rate, and the battery weighs 39.5 kg. It is supplied with a standard B4 terminal type, and I2 is available as an optional terminal type. Construction is maintenance free (no topping up required) and leak-proof (no free electrolyte), so the battery stays clean inside enclosed cabinets. Self-discharge is low at less than 3% per month, which means a charged battery holds its capacity during long storage. It supports vertical and horizontal installation, giving designers room to work around existing hardware. A flame arrestor integrated in each cell works with a built-in flame arrestor for added safety, while carrying handles for easier installation simplify lifting and positioning.
