The EP80-12 is a 12 V VRLA battery from the B.B. Battery EP portable power series, built for mobile and cycling duty. Nominal capacity is 80 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 68 Ah at the 5-hour rate and 40 Ah at the 30-minute rate, with a weight of 31.2 kg. The battery uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination and is maintenance free (no water addition required), with no free acid (leak-proof battery) construction. It is designed for heavy-duty cyclic applications, so it copes with repeated charge and discharge in service. The unit can be installed in multiple orientations (do not install inverted), which helps when space inside equipment is tight, and it carries an explosion-proof filter fitted along with a flame arrestor fitted for safety. A standard B3 terminal type is supplied, with I2 available as an option. It suits Uninterruptible power supply, medical equipment, lawn mowers, electric bicycles and scooters, golf carts, communication facilities, data processing centers, electric vehicles, wheelchairs and floor cleaning equipment.
