The EP12-12 is a valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery from the B.B. Battery EP series, built in a 12 V monobloc design. Its nominal voltage is 12 V, its nominal capacity is 12 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 10.2 Ah at the 5-hour rate, and 6 Ah at the 30-minute rate, and it weighs 4.2 kg. The standard terminal type is T2, and T1 is available as an optional terminal type. Absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology provides efficient gas recombination, and the battery is maintenance free with no water addition required. It contains no free acid as a leak-proof battery, is designed for heavy-duty cyclic applications, can be installed in multiple orientations (an inverted position is not allowed), and carries an explosion-proof filter together with a flame arrestor fitted for safety. Applications include uninterruptible power supply, medical equipment, lawn mowers, electric bicycles and scooters, golf carts, communication facilities, data processing centers, electric vehicles, wheelchairs, and floor cleaning equipment.
