Its construction eliminates free acid, making it a truly leak-proof battery.
Durability begins with the robust case, which is made of impact-resistant ABS plastic; the cover is firmly joined to the case and the terminal area is sealed. During production the electrolyte is filled through six dedicated openings in the cover, after which a pressure relief valve made of non-flammable material is fitted. These valves ensure a high level of fire and explosion safety and are one of the keys to the maintenance-free behaviour of the battery. Both plates are coated with a special paste formulation, which gives the battery outstanding high-cycle capability, and under normal conditions the series provides a cycle life of up to 2000 cycles.
EP33-12 has a nominal voltage of 12 V. Its capacity reaches 33 Ah at the 20-hour rate, 28.05 Ah at the 5-hour rate, and 16.5 Ah at the 30-minute rate when instantaneous high power is required.
