The series covers capacities from 7 Ah to 100 Ah and is aimed at applications that call for low maintenance and a long cycle life. The EP26-12 case is made of tough, opaque, impact-resistant ABS plastic, the cover is firmly joined to the case, and the terminal area is carefully sealed to prevent leakage. A standard B1 terminal is provided, and T2 and I1 are available as optional terminal types to suit different connection requirements. Six holes in the cover serve as filling points for the electrolyte during production; once filling is complete, a pressure relief valve made of non-combustible material is fitted, which is what makes the battery maintenance free (no water addition required) and gives it a high level of fire and explosion safety through gas recombination. The no free acid (leak-proof battery) design means there is no free acid to escape from the case.
