Product details

BC4-5-6 belongs to the BC series of VRLA batteries and uses a 6V monobloc voltage design, with a nominal capacity of 4.5Ah at the 20-hour rate. This maintenance free battery needs no water addition and holds no free liquid electrolyte inside, which effectively prevents leakage risk and improves both safety and convenience in daily use. Since no water has to be added and no acid can spill, the battery suits equipment installed where access for servicing is difficult or where the surroundings must be kept clean. The battery uses absorbent glass mat (AGM) technology for efficient gas recombination, so the gases formed during operation are recombined within the cells rather than being released. A flame arrestor is fitted for safety together with explosion-proof filter fitted, and carrying handles for easier installation are built in, which simplifies handling on the production line and during field service. Because the electrolyte is immobilized, the unit can be installed in any orientation, but it must not be installed inverted, so horizontal mounting is acceptable wherever it suits the layout of the enclosure. BC4-5-6 weighs 0.72kg, its standard terminal type is T1 and an optional T2 terminal is available for different wiring arrangements, while the compact size and low weight make the unit easy to place inside small enclosures. The model is suitable for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, security systems, emergency lighting and video surveillance systems, access control systems, medical equipment, communication facilities, alternative energy systems, power supply networks and the energy industry, street lighting and traffic signals and data processing centers. In practice it keeps alarms, controllers, cameras and access readers running when mains power is interrupted, and it also supports small cyclic duties where the load is switched on and off repeatedly.
