The GB12-80 is a 12 V valve-regulated sealed lead-acid battery from the B.B. Battery Zelus-GB series, with a nominal capacity of 80 Ah at the 20-hour rate and 75 Ah at the 10-hour rate. It weighs 29.5 kg and uses the I2 standard terminal type. The battery uses gelled electrolyte technology, in which sulfuric acid mixed with fumed silica forms an immobilized gel. The gel brings enhanced durability and deep-cycle capability under heavy loads, along with high-temperature stability, mechanical strength and low acid displacement, with excellent performance under deep discharge. The patented safety valve precisely controls pressure to extend battery life, precise distribution of valve opening and closing pressure is critical to battery (cycle) life, and the reinforcing rib design maintains structural integrity.
