SHR7-12 belongs to the B.B. Battery SHR high rate deep cycle series, a family of valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries built for duty that combines high-rate discharge with repeated cycling. Its nominal voltage is 12 V, its rated power is 27 W/cell at the 15 minute rate, it weighs 1.84 kg, T2 is the standard terminal type and T1 is an optional terminal type, so two connection layouts are available for the same case. Its sealed construction also keeps maintenance work low, since no electrolyte level has to be checked during normal service. The model is maintenance free (no water addition required) and has a no free acid (leak-proof battery) design, so it needs no topping up during service and no free liquid is present inside the case. A flame arrestor fitted for safety is also part of the construction.
